The day started out like dirt and ended on a high note. Much preferable to the reverse.

I found out I'm way over budget. Then I took the bus out to the Air Force Museum & went WAY too far. I had to sit by the university for an hour and wait for a return bus. This all got me really bummed although it really shouldn't have. I got to the museum and WOW! Not only does this place have all the normal museum stuff but it also has a huge hanger filled with the real planes, each in its own setting (backdrop, fake snow, etc.). the lighting is different at each plane but it's all subdued so each plane is very spectacular. I got back to the square and met Gary again. I found out he's an engineer, works with metals in the dairy industry. [In] the off-season, he's in charge of maintenance and can make up to $1,000/week. He saw some friends he had previously met and we all went out for some beers. Afterwards I rode home, ate lots and veged out in front of bad videos. [It made me] feel sort of worthless but the afternoon was fun.
