No clouds today, it must be 90 degrees again. I had the most incredible winds today! Mostly a headwind - I was riding soooo slow. But I felt good. Wrote my first four postcards today. So far I'm doing 60-80 km/day.

I bought my first beer today: Lion Brown.

In addition to sand flies, this campsite has mosquitoes and regular flies. Bugs are the biggest bummer so far.

I have to pull into camp by 1 PM because [of] the heat and today it's hard to fill my afternoon. I'm too burnt to be outside so I'm in the kitchen writing.

Today my shoulders started peeling and my forearms and the backs of my hands are starting to blister.

Training Diary Comments: Hot & very windy. 3:45 road signs say I went 72 km. I felt good today but hot spots in shoes won't go away.
