I have always wanted to go to the 'garden island' and finally made it. Thanks to the generosity of a friend, we got to book a timeshare for a very reasonable rate and now here we are.

We had to book this stay literally one year in advance (this is a popular island and timeshare I guess) so for the longest time it was waaaaay off in the future but then a few weeks ago it suddenly dawned on us that we were going to be in Hawaii really soon so the excitement started to build. Then it was time to buy plane tickets, reserve a rental car and finally call for a ride to the airport.
