Seattle-to-Leavenworth
1989

Right then, this was the 'shake-down' tour to prep my bike and myself for New Zealand. We (a friend and I) took two days to ride from Seattle to Leavenworth - we camped at Index and then took the old pass road [GORGeous by the way], and then three days of mountain biking while in Leavenworth.

Among our rides was a first ascent of the 4th of July trail. Quite a hike-a-bike as I recall, no wonder no one else had done it prior to us... But once up on the ridge, we had some of the best single track all the way back to town. Nice.

More later. Feel free to bug me if you want content posted sooner rather than later. If nothing else, it will prove to me that someone is reading this stuff I type...
