Well, at least I felt better than during the RR; man, I'd have to shoot myself if I didn't. Warmed up for 30 min on the trainer and then got a good start. Rode at the front almost the whole race, tried to get in one break, blocked for several others and then with two laps to go, our team fell apart. Non of us were there when it mattered and we let 2nd place in GC get third which gave him the win because of the time bonus...
After the race we did 20 miles in the hills just outside of town which was very pretty and felt super as a spin down.
I NEED to start climbing better... |
