Comments: I had no recollection of how this hill was and it was not so bad. I stayed right at the front the whole time and went REALLY hard for the first prime. I dropped everyone except this one guy that nipped me by about 1' at the line. Damn... I felt very strong for that effort and then I felt like I needed about a week to recover from it! [for the sprints, I was in the big ring all the way from the bottom. I'd start in the 53x19 and shift to the 17 once I got that rolling and I think I shifted once more for the first sprint]

Riders went off the front a couple tiles and I went with them but I was not able to contribute much and OTB chased everything down so it was together for the second prime but I was competitive.

Towards the end (four laps to go) I got away with Kerry Farrell again - we just went hard at the top of the hill and rode away - but he was stronger than me (I could definitely feel the hill from Sunday in my legs) and since I was not able to contribute much we got caught with two to go. At the finish my sprint was not what it had been earlier and I think Kerry won it.

At least I did not go backwards at the finish which is what most people were doing for every sprint. Everyone would go too early and die on the hill. The finish was just 50' past the top of the hill so it was an anaerobic fest each time. Boy, I sure could use some teammates out here...!!!
