Comments: I felt a little better today but still lacked that extra go juice at the end... It was GREAT having Dave and Jim there at the race. Dave closed some gaps and lead me out for the first prime. It was me and some Ti Cycles guy but I kept shifting up and he died.

After that it came together again and the 2nd prime really ripped it up. Kerry and I pushed each other all the way and he just nipped me at the line. Drat. We had a huge gap and just kept rolling. Soon Dave and a few other riders showed up and that was it.

Kerry tried to jump us twice; once Dave closed it down and the second time I did and we were off the front. That was with about 4 laps to go. I was not able to put in any great turns and with one to go I pulled up the hill and at the top Kerry accelerated a bit and rode away. I soloed in for 2nd. At least we caught the 1/2 field.

It was an animated race and lots of fun in spite of the wet. Wet seems pretty synonymous with Tuesday it seems... especially in this corner of Kent. Jokes abounded.
