This is what computers are _really_ for, eh? :) Here is all frivolous stuff that I use (or have used at one time or another) and like. Yes, there are TONS of good things on the Internet but there is lots of crap as well. I have compiled this list to let you benefit from my experience so hopefully you won't have to waste as much time as I have finding the good programs that actually work, are not bundled with loads of spy and adware, cause conflicts with other programs, cause conflicts with Windows, make you swear like a sailor with Turrets, make you stay up all night reinstalling your OS and apps from scratch, etc.

Freeware
- ListOfOpenSourcePrograms - "LOOP", all the free stuff that runs on Windows and the pay-for equivalent so you can see what you are replacing.
- DonationCoder - Hundreds of free utilities all full-featured with no nag screens. They use a novel licensing system: you have to register to get a free license key which allows you to download any number of programs on the site.
- CleanSoftware.org - Good software for Windows and it's all free of nasty (read: ad/spy/malware) stuff.
- The 46 Best-ever Freeware Utilities - Loads of great security stuff and other utilities. Way too much to mention here.
- NONAGS - Some of the best and safest freeware since 1995.
- Sysinternals - All the Windows tools and utilities you could want.
- Ultimate List of Free Windows Software from Microsoft - Here are all the little tools, utilities and freebees from Microsoft for all versions of Windows.
