Hello,
In me you will find a very effective and clear communicator, a good listener and an excellent teacher/trainer.
Not only am I technically savvy and posses a variety of skills, I am also extremely good at providing support to clients (end users) or internal staff while keeping customer service and satisfaction as the highest priority. Having been involved in Sales, Quality Control, Public Relations, Human Resources and growing a small business as well as Technical Support and Network/Systems Administration, I am always conscious of how I present the company to the client.
My most recent experience is as a Systems Administrator for a group of Biochemists and Research Scientists in a University Research Lab setting. In addition to providing support, security and network functionality, my job is to make the existing technology and any future implementations of policy or hardware as transparent to the user as possible in order to minimize its impact. The goal is always to maximize the efficiency of the various labs and users I support.
Prior to that, I worked as a Webmaster for a commercial hosting company. I handled support requests (phone calls, live chat and emails) that got escalated from our Technical Support staff. We managed shared and dedicated/co-located web servers, our own DNS servers, database servers and an email server. Having progressed within the company from the Technical Support Department and having vivid memories of contacting various organizations for support myself, I was always very conscious of not only assisting the client with resolving the specific problem at hand, but in making sure that ALL their needs were met and that they were truly satisfied with our level of service.
I work well in groups, I rarely have a personality conflict with co-workers and I enjoy interpersonal interaction. I’m trustworthy, follow through and easy to get along with. I believe that these are the really important qualities to have; if there is some technical skill that I need to have and don’t, you can teach it to me and I’ll learn it. I’ve also been told that I write clear, concise directions and communicate effectively via email and chat. I've always enjoyed teaching and training people and still actively pursue that personal gratification as a ski instructor and in my full-time career.
I like learning and am very grateful when my employer supports and encourages continued education. The best thing about this business is you always get to/need to learn more about the next emerging technology. I enjoy playing with and learning about computers and technology even while off the clock and at home. Hey, it’s fun.
I would be a happy, low-maintenance addition to your workforce. With my unique combination of a management, sales and customer service background combined with my technical schooling and training, I make a great asset to any company or organization.
Feel free to contact me anytime and thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Martin Criminale
